Kenneth Davis

Kenneth Davis joined Southern Country Charlotte (SCC) in 1993, and became a member of SCC’s exhibition dance team, the Queen City Outlaws. He has been a member of SCC and the Outlaws for almost fifteen years, and has been Southern Country Charlotte's longest running Dance Instructor during that time. He continues to teach line and couples dance weekly for SCC’s home bar, the Charlotte Eagle as well as at various functions in the community. Kenneth’s enthusiasm, knowledge and patience have earned him a loyal and enthusiastic following, encouraging many shy folks to get out on the dance floor and try country dancing for the first time.

Scott Cooper & Dawn Rickus

Scott Cooper joins the list of fabulous dance instructors for the second year in a row. Scott is a former musical theatre actor that relocated from Manhattan to Charlotte in 1997.  Since then he has taught ballroom and was the founder of the Havana Social Club in Cornelius.  He is the current owner of Evolution Models and Talent in Charlotte.  Scott can often be seen demonstrating his expertise in east coast swing at The Charlotte Eagle on country nights.

Dawn Rickus has been a professional performer for most of her life. She danced for Paramount Productions for several years, and has done numerous stage performances throughout the country. She previously was an instructor for the Havana Social Club in Huntersville teaching ballroom dance, and is now the owner of Extreme Talent Productions in Gaston County which develops young up and coming singers, dancers, actors and models.
